Let me tell you a story: I was writing my blog about myself and my internet freaked out and I lost everything I wrote. I forgot what I had written, so I had to try again.

My name is Amy, and I live in Palmyra, Pennsylvania. (That’s right next to Hershey, for anyone who loves Hershey’s chocolate.) I am 17 years old, and I’m about to finish my junior year of high school (LESS THAN A MONTH LEFT!). I really can’t stand school, but I try my best in order to go off to college and study to be a zoologist because I loveloveloveloveLOVE animals. I might want to be a marine biologist, even, but I’m sort of scared of water. We’ll see.
So… I’ve lived in PA for as long as I can remember, and I love it. I’ve gone to church all my life, I accepted Christ at a bright, young age, and now I’m actively involved in a strong youth group. With them, I’ve been on two past mission trips (with AIM!) to New Orleans, LA and Atlanta, GA. They are some of my favorite memories. Also, I’ve done some missions work through World Vision’s 30 Hour Famine with my youth group.
My youth group is sort of a huge part of my life. They are my closest friends and my biggest supporters. They keep me in line and are constant reminders of God’s love.
Personally, I really enjoy music (alternative/folk/indie, like Jimmy Eat World/Bright Eyes/The Decemberists), movies (disney/pixar are some of the best), photography (both taking photographs and looking at them) and art (just looking at it, I am in no way an artist).
I love baking, star gazing, and dancing. But when I say I love to dance, I mean, I love to pretend I can dance.
I AM SO EXCITED FOR THIS TRIP. I wish I could speak Spanish.
[ANNNND, I’m on facebook and myspace… if you’re interested]
