We are asked to write a blog about how we are called to this mission trip. Here is my story….
At the begining of my 8th grade year me and my classmates were assigned a year-long project called the IMPACT project. IMPACT stands for Impacting My Peers And Changing Tomarow. For the project we had to find an issue in sociaty and an organization that supported it, than write an essay, speech, and a powerpoint. My issue was hunger relief and my organization was Catholic Relief Services. While working on the project I realized that I wanted to do more and go on a mission trip, that was when my hunt for the right mission trip started. I wanted to go on a trip that involved the christian faith, but all of the places that I looked I wasn’t old enough. Then I asked my dad to help me and he was the one who found Adventures In Missions. I was so excited that I had a possability that I could go on one of these trips, but again I was limated because of my age. There were only a few trips that I was elagable to go on because of age, date, and other requirements. When I looked through them all Guatemala and Costa Rica were the 2 that I liked. I ended up picking Guatemala because my spanish teacher was from Guatemala and he told me that I should go there. So that was when the application prosses started and then sure enough I was accepted!!
