We were asked to write a blog about how we felt before leaving on this mission trip. Here is what I'm expecting...

I honestly do not know what to expect. I say this because I have never been on a mission trip out of the country before. Just a few months ago when I found out about this trip I didn't honestly think it would fall through, but here I am counting down the days until we leave! I have been waiting and praying for this trip and I can't even start to imagine everything that God has in store for us. So I expect...

 God to work through us, so that we can make changes in how we think, feel, and act, to reach the hearts of the people of Guatemala and restore hope in their lives.

To truly get to know each of my teammates and make lifelong friends.

To grow physically, mentally, and spiritually.

 To be encouraged, and encourage others.                                           

To rely on God's infinite and perfect timing.

To have my heart break for those who are lost and hurting.

To come home unrecognizable to those who know me now.

To see God in ways I have never seen before, so I truly can worship and praise Him without end.

I expect and pray that through this God will humble my heart and help me see the world from His perspective. Ah that's a lot and writing it and talking about it makes me even more excited. I can't wait to meet each one of you and I am praying for you daily!
